Q1 & Q2 HUGE day for me and EV motorsport

Have you ever thought “I must be nuts”? Well, that’s what was going through my head this morning. I did the maths.

I last did a rally in 2007 and my last time on a race track was 2003/4.

Q1 Sweden Natalie Barratt 2020 Projekt E Series / Stard / Ford

So, I made a few rookie errors (or maybe they were Mummy errors) I totally stuffed up the start. I actually thought the guys had done a jump start – No….. I had forgot the light sequence.

Natalie Barratt overtakes Ken Block off the start as he spins – Sweden Projekt E

Boy…. I got in trouble for that and I don’t think I’ll live it down…. Lesson learned!

Each qualifying session was an improvement for me and also an improvement on the car set up. It requires a different driving styles and set up due to its weight, and where the batteries sit affects the cars handling.

Q2. Natalie Barratt EV Projekt E Series Rally Cross – Stard / Ford

I’m looking forward to tomorrow. It will be the first ERX final with myself, Ken Block and 2 time Austrian rally champion Hermann Neubauer.

Soon, very soon the grid will be much bigger, this is the start of things to come and I’m so stoked to be part of history !!!!

Bring on the final….
